Dear Friends,

Could you pls advise if CMO26 designed for R22 can run on R407 without any mechanical modification(except oil change).
Compressor is for Marine use.

You should contact local Johnson Controls Inc.. agent for best advise. they are the sabroe people to talk to. I understand replacement shaft seals have o/rings that suit any refrigerant.

Hi mate, its easy to do the retrofit. Important is to the oil (POE) change 4x. 2x on R22 (24Hrs) and 2x on R407 (24 Hrs) the 4th oil change you can let in the system. If the refrigerant is R407c you have a option to change the expansion valves but is not necessary. You don't need a oil separator or suction accumulator.
