Help with Vapor-Cycle Units

Hello, I'm a student at Iowa State University working on reducing aircraft chiller noise. I was wondering if someone could give me some guidance as to what components of a vapor-cycle unit produce the most noise, and possible ideas to help mitigate the noise. I was also wondering if it's feasible to store cold refrigerant for usage, such as liquid nitrogen, to bypass the recycling system which I presume makes a lot of noise.
