Hi I'm new in Refrigeration

Could anyone explain what is the difference between remote condensing unit and condensing unit? I only know the condensing unit is a outdoor unit that has a compressor, condenser, and fan motor on it.

Thanks

Are you talking about remote condenser?

Condensing units tend to come with the compressor and condenser on the same frame.

Remote condensers tend to be separate to the compressor.
They can be in the same room, outside, on top of the building
or anywhere. A remote condenser is piped to the compressor
in just the same way that a normal condensing unit is piped,
but allowances for pressure drops and heat loss through the pipes
need to made.

A remote unit, if its not built into the cabinet its remote , basically the unit was installed with a pipe run to a "remote'' spot . You cant unplug it and wheel it away .
