Vaporex 33 dehumidifier manual / advice?

Hi,

Can anyone help me out with a manual for a vaporex 33 dehumidifier? I saw a couple of folk in older threads had them but the links are dead.

Problem is that the fan won't start - I've checked the capacitor and it appears to be fine (2uf cap, says 1.96 on multimeter). The fan is a chinese make and I can't find any spec sheets on it, but I'm starting to think that's the problem.

I hooked up the fan direct without the cap, and it will run if you give it a good shove to start.

Any ideas would be very welcome!

Well it's not the fan or the capacitor, got that running fine on the bench. I've waded my way through most of the components...switches, timers, humidistats all fine. Tomorrow I need to check the relay that is controlled by the temperature probe. No idea how to test that though - looks solid state.
