Is it possible to test a Daikin vrv 3 system without control being set up?

Hi everyone. I have a Daikin tech coming in to do a system start up which will pretty much entail them setting up the Intelligent Touch Manager from what I understand. However, they won't be in for a few days.

Is it possible to run a test on a Daikin VRV 3 system without the controller set up to and units not addressed? Any help is appreciated.

It is possible, do your units also have individual remote controls ?

Without central control or individual control can`t.

With no remote controls. I was told by Daikin that it is not possible and had to get a brc controller to start up each system individually, which I did and discovered a bad board-- system still works though, just cant see system status on condensing unit.
