Hotpoint FZA54 ice build-up

Hi,
Had this freezer for a good few years now. Started about 2 years ago where the 'High temp' light came up so looked online which resulted in removing the back panel to find a load of ice built up at the bottom. Melted the ice and a year later (last year), the same thing happened. Then 9 months later (about 3/4 months ago), the same thing happened. The same thing is now happening again and I'm worried this is becoming too regular.

Any tips?

Hi Clubba It sounds like the insulation of the cabinet has failed and the Ice build up acts like a heat sink. This will only get worse and cost you a fortune in electricity due to excessive run times of the compressor. Suggest you find a replacement cabinet Kr Glenn
