Hhi folks .
could anyone tell me the best port on The outdoor unit of a dakin vrv three pipe to purge from.
I have. My refnet in to feed the extra bs box and my unit is hung up and piped . I plan to vent my purge of nitrogen via. The other ports on. The out door to eliminate. Those pesky pin holes .
i take it that. The bs box valves are open. Till power. Is applied ?

so if i purge down. The liquidline on. The out door it will. Find its way round and vent off via. The suction and the other port?
Or purge via the indoor unit,as i have not finnished. The flares yet and. Vent all three ports on. The outdoor?

Recommended 8 hour evacuation as a minimum on a new install
Not sure what you mean by 'purging' but in the trade this is a no no

im assuming he's refering to releasing of nitrogen after a sucessfull pressure test

I sort of assumed he meant purging, as in displacing the air in the system with OFN whilst brazing...

In which case it is just a matter of checking that you got a flow through the pipe(s) you are brazing on and no buildup of pressure.
Down the liquid line and out the discharge and suction lines will be OK as long as the valves in the BC box/indoor units are open. (I would also isolate the outdoor unit on the valves)
