got a hitatchi ras10fxne that blew its oil out last week, going back tomorrow to fixer it, but i need 500ml oil , spec is daphne 68 fvc68d - any ideas of any wholesaler in leeds that might stock it on the shelf??

Oils arn't my thing and I'm not sure what Daphne 68 is,

But there are

Alkybenzene Zerice S68

and your obvious Mobile Arctic 68

Mineral oil would be Shell Clavus 68

I'm sure if you phone around the wholesalers they will be able to help.

cheers rob- did some trawling as hitatch comp and condenser doesnt state oil type,only volume, monkeyspanners found dean and wood do the equivelent -pue or pve- dont know, chucked in 700ml and repaired pipework only to find suction line fractured on elbow, had to re do that and currently on pressure test

Think its pve oil thats been put into new splits now . more hydroscopic but releases the moisture easier under vacuum and doesnt form an acid when moisture in the system.Think its fits better with mineral oil in retrofits too.

FVC68D, it is PVE oil produced by "Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd", see below:

I think evrething will be ok if you mix of original PVE with other PVE. The main thing to find an equal Viscosity.

got to be better than running a pot oil less!, wont be going back to site till monday afternoon to stick it on vac then maybe gas it up tuesday, unless me boss wants me somewhere else
