Alright lads,

Just wondered what u all thought about bombing gas in to a known leaking system?

I'd just recover and repair IMO, saw a guy on YouTube sticking a bit of 22 in a system to keep the customer going for a while.

I can't honestly remember having any 22 anyway :)

Any time I add gas or remove I have to log it in my record book along with serial numbers etc and reason for use or recovery.

Cheers ANDY

Perhaps back in the day, many years ago. But now as you say, we all have to act responsibly and record what goes in and out. It is time to help educate the customer into what the requirements are nowadays, as some are reluctant to move with the times.

The thing with youtube is you see people from all round the world where rules are different than here. Here we would find and fix the leak or have to shut the system down and isolate the refrigerant from the leaking section.
