I need urgent help. I have a slight leak along the liquid line of the r410 system. After pumping down the system, can i top up the system with the same r410 or do i have let out all the gas?

No to all the questions above.

I'm not sure of the laws in Jamaca but in a lot of Countries it
is illegal to just top up the system and it is very illegal to let
it out.

You should recover the refrigerant, find and repair the leak,
pressure test with nitrogen to the correct standards, vac
the system down to the correct level and then add new refrigerant,
by weight as per the manufacturers instructions.

@boyderic- I guess you mean if its OK to top R410a, R410a unlike R407c can be topped up. ODP for R410a maybe 0 but GWP is 1725, so fix the leak before you top up unless you want to see the polar cap gone fully.
