Good Day,
I have a McQuay AGS275 air cooled chiller about 3 years old that one compressor is hammering on start up then locking out on the starter fault. I have been able to get it to run and when it does it runs fine. Have checked inside and all is intact with no metal bits in the base or broken parts . I can turn the rotor by hand. There is no evidence of liquid refrigerant at the compressor . I am left with too much oil in the compressor?? The oil level in the separator is between the glasses as it should be. Any one had this before?
