R22 Toshiba VRF

We have a customer with a 1995 R22 Tosh 3 pipe system with a non pumping inverter compressor. Replacing the circuit is not an option at present. so we are looking for either a compressor or an entire outdoor unit. Can anyone help?

Toshiba wont stock R22 spares no more, as previously can you not disable the faulty circuit and run on a lower capacity??

other than that ebay or find another system somewhere and pinch its compressor one night, i did that with a solenoid coil once and got caught tho so i wouldnt recommend this

there is a company in London who do secondhand kit. Can't remember their name but it used to be in the Yr book.

Can you get a R407C compressor instead?

The 10HP R407C and R22 Super multi compressors were externally dentical physically and internally electrically the same too.

Just the oil changed as far as I recall, that was all.

They never did an 8HP R407C system with inv\fix comps in one shell.

Mind you Tosh dropped R22 back in 98\99, maybe before that, so it was a fair while ago.

It's a long shot but try some of the old Tosh distributors see they have a comp lying about as a door stop or something.

Also Fridge motors in Reading and London Hermetic used to rebuild these compressors......just a thought

8HP version was comp type HV991CW-Y12 or p\n° 43141606
10HP version was comp type HV1201CW-Y12 or p\n° 43141705

Thanks for all the help, HRP have changed their mind and are now saying they have one at an eye watering price. I asked a couple of re-man companies with no luck, I will try Fridge Motors tomorrow.
