Disposing of old ***** cylinders

Hello guys

Does anyone know how I can dispose of old refrigerant bottles (r22)? Does the council accept them or will suppliers take them. Have taken them of a friend of mine who has retired, they are years old so no idea where he got them from !:confused:

Try your wholesaler first.

If they are definitely empty then if you remove the valves you should be able to take them to your local metal recycling centre (scrap merchant).

boc bottles can be returned to any boc seller, as for ici then maybe contacting ici helpline, otherwise bury em as scrap yards wont take em
