Which valves for fcu"s & chilled water

HI all
looking for an overview of the type of valve choice for a two pipe chilled water system and FCU's. Does anyone have an over view of the, type of valve, its pros and cons and its location on the system?

You can use 2 types.

2 Port = On/Off
3 Port = Modulating

Using a 2 port will give you poor indoor temperature control and a 3 port will give a closer temperature control.
