the problem is I have looked long and hard for a trainee job in this field but have had no luck can anybody please advise me were the best place to look as I think knowadays its who you know and not what you know

Hi tonyt.
I admire your enthusiasm to re-train at your age, get more papers and some hands on experience, that will be the difficult part with a slow economy. Bang on doors and pester companies for an opportunity some where. All the best and good luck

I'm willing to travel
I travel miles for this company on call outs, which I hate but do it's what pays the bills
I have a company van at the moment and don't own my own transport as I have a private use policy which I don't have time working all the time

All I ask is a chance I'm a hard worker and a quick Learner :D

Is there a way we can speak

I work closely with a company in London who are always looking for reliable people willing to learn. The service manager there will have a look at your cv and have a talk to you I'm sure if you drop him an email. They are a good company to work for in my experience. PM me for details if interested.

If you are qualified you should be able to get a job you can advertise yourself
