.

What is it with the random complimentary posts that appear
every now and then from first time posters or second and third
time posters?

Things like.

"this post is most useful"

"compliments on this post"

"thank you for such information"

Is it a very polite way of raising the post count of the individual sender?

The wording seems strange, almost automated and has seemed to happen only in the last few weeks / months.

It might be me, just being a moody arse, but they seem staged or ingenue?

If you are one of the people who sends those polite messages and if you are just being polite I apologise now and I am just a moody arse, if it is a way of boosting your post count or automated text, Why????

Regards

Rob

I've often found that they are a precursor to a bit of spam.

I tend to watch them for a little while with a finger poised over the delete button. ;)

Thank you Rob,

Very well spotted, I hadn't thought about this before but I sure will keep an eye out for it in the future.

OK, next time you want a pat on the back just tell us so. (I did see an ad about "philipine massage, happy outcome guaranteed" here somewhere, might be worth investigating)
