Am I in the Right Forum?

I am a self employed refrigeration technician, specializing in marine refrigeration/airconditioning on sail and motor pleasure boats. These vessels have units with compressors which are AC and DC hermetic, AC and DC belt or direct drive, or engine driven by belts. The condensers are cooled by air or sea water, and the expansion takes place in thermal expansion valves or capillary tubes. Are there others in this field in this forum or is there another forum more suited for those in my field?

Many years ago, I serviced a lot of fishing boats, ice machines on these boats and the more larger container boats boarding in Antwerp and Zeebrugge (Seabruges)

We did also several new installs on fishing boats, mainly Bitzer open compressors.

Brian, you're damn right, I hadn't noticed his age.
Mostly, this 'older' techs - wich I mean with all my respect sir - can learn us something more then all our books.
They sometimes use litlle tricks we never heard of before.
