I am having trouble tracking dow a Belimo SM 240 damper actuator. My usual supplier has pulled the plug on that kind of spare part and concentrating on selling Samsung instead. RS Components no longer stock them and do not offer an alternative and Wolseley centre, run by highway robber Mr. Turpin want £110 for a part I usually pay £65 for. Does anyone have any contacts for Belimo SM 240..... please.

Try a Google on Belimo sm 240, there are a few suppliers out there, some at £100.50, one at either £75.15 or £73.08 depending on the page you look at. (MJT Controls eg)

Thanks Brian, I tried google on Sunday night but will try again.

EDIT:

Got one £78.65 + V.A.T. Better than NRS controls centre £110 + V.A.T.

This isn't advertising: he's not selling their nor his products.
Can't you use an LM instead; costs +/- 60 € for the smallest one.

I got fixed up in the end with a new generation Belimo, it is smaller physically but you do get a bracket to fit to it so it ends up with the same footprint, I fitted it yesterday and it works fine, slower than the old generation of dampers but at least my customer is happy again.

Incidentally I got it from http://www.mjtcontrols.co.uk

Belimo discontinued the SM series and replaced it with the AM and new AMB series. Depending on the torque your project requires will depend on the model number

Sorry to read this too late. I would have been able to supply such spare servo.
Well, next time maybe.
