Firstly, sorry I haven't got the model number to hand.

Can anyone point me towards somewhere where I can get rebuild instructions for a six cylinder semi?

I'm mainly concerned about the conrod bigend bolt torque settings.

Hi brian ive never seen a guide for frascold compressors but i think the big 6 cyclinder has 8mm conrod bolt and i would tighten it to about 20ft lb with loctite 243 anti vibrate and the heads and sump 10mm bolts to abouf 45ft lb and suction cover 12mm bolt to 65ft lb.oil pump bearing housing 45ft lb. If it was a bad burnout thr terminal plate insulators might need changing.because they will have carbon on them.

Thanks guys, just the info I needed.

Yes it was a burnt out motor, seems the bearings had gone a bit slack and the rotor had started shaving the commutator resulting in an overload type burn out. It blew it's contactor's out big time.

Just ordered up a new drier shell and cores to fit in the liquid line, would have preferred it in the suction but there's limited room for one.

All good fun they tell us. ;)
