Hello I have a Fujitsu Inverter compressor which I think is in efficient - haven't had this happen before - system runs at 16 degrees C at R410a suction temp/press, on closing liquid line took a long time to only reach 25 psi (175 kpa) suction pressure. Is this a proper test for an inverter style compressor? -has anyone encountered this before?
any help appreciated

check with fujitsu- some say as long as the 3 outputs are even, - then theres no need to replace it- as your compressor does start, then no need, if the compressor went down to earth or was siezing then your putting more strain on the inverter,

click on the link above for tayters guide for inverter checking- he also has a 24hr helpline as he can be found posting on here at 2am uk time!:p

warranty can be limited to 6mths if inverter not changed with some manufacturers

PUMP DOWN (Refrigerant collecting operation)
Perform the following procedures to collect the refrigerant when moving
the indoor unit or the outdoor unit.
(1) Press the push-button switch on the circuit board once.
The LED on the circuit board starts flashing (one second ON/one se-cond
OFF). This indicates the start of PUMP DOWN operation.
When the switch is pressed while the compressor is in operation, PUMP
DOWN operation starts automatically.
When the switch is pressed while the compressor is in stop, the com-pressor
starts to operate automatically, and then move on to PUMP
DOWN operation.
(2) PUMP DOWN operation continues for about 1 minute. When PUMP
DOWN operation is completed, the compressor stops automatically.
Then close the 2-way valve and 3-way valve immediately.
(3) Turn the power off.

Bear in mind if you have the metal body fan motors they are reknowned for taking out PCB's left right and centre. If finances allow get the newer white plastic body motors.

Cheers,
Andy.

Not related to a non pumping compressor but related to the power surging through the unit when the isolator gets turned back on and a diode in the fan motor goes skew whiff and wrecks 2 other boards and you end up looking a bit of a plum.
