Gents,

I'm looking for some small tip electrical test probes, to be able to test hard to access terminals.

I have a fluke 116 multimeter and the tips of the test leads are quite small but after trying to take the resistance readings on a CN plug for a Daikin condenser fan motor today I found they aren't small enough.

I ended up using a paperclip to push into the CN plug to take the readings but was hoping to be able to get a set of smaller tip test probes to use with my multimeter.

The only ones I've seen are the FLUKE TL910 but they are pretty pricey at £60

Which ones do you use?

Got a set like this,

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fluke-Tlk287-Electronic-Master-Test/dp/B003AHE96G/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1386438734&sr=8-8&keywords=fluke+test+leads

Cost more than the tester!

Thanks but I'd prefer a proper set of test leads, good idea though.

Hi Viking,

I bought my last set of test leads from there but they didn't have the small tip probes at the last store I tried.
Someone recommended RS but their website has been down for most of the day.

Haha, they look good but it doesn't show the width of the tips.
The fluke ones are 1mm but are £55...... I'm not as well off as you IM

Have a look on ebay,

not sure if these any good but expect there would be something there.

Forget all the fancy connectors. Strip connector (choc box), one end on the probe and either a pin or paper clip in the other. Not had it fail me yet and I can abuse and lose them and not lose any sleep.

If the boss is paying, well different story
Cheers, Andy.

They look small enough, I've ordered a set of them. If they don't work I'll go with the fluke.

Thanks MS, much appreciated

Another good idea that Andy.

If the ones I've ordered ever break I'll remember that.
Thanks
