Last week I was at the Skill Show in Birmingham.

Its a show case competition for apprentices and trainees
to demonstrate their ability and skill. The winners and runners
up will be considered for selection for the World Skills competition
in Brazil in 2015.
The last one was this year in Germany and the time before was
in the X-Cell centre in the London Docklands.
The guys and guyetts compete in their chosen subject after
beating the competition in regional heats throughout the year.
To get to the finals they will have competed in at least one
regional competition.
Its an excellent event and although I was only involved in the
Skill-fridge side of it, the whole event was huge with 700
competitors in 70 different disciplines.
There was an official opening ceremony and closing ceremony
and the whole thing lasting over four days. Early starts and late
finishes, the whole thing was run like the Olympics and is referred
to as the Skill Olympics.................
See the photos of the Skill-fridge on the link above.
Regards
Rob
