Help, is the installer trying to pull a fast one on me?

Hi,

I got a quote to have two Fujitsu 15RLS2 units and was to have them installed next week.

Today, the sales guy calls me and says Fujitsu has a special right now and I can get the 18000 btu unit for the same price.

I didn't get the exact model but I don't think a 18RLS2 exists does it?

Is he trying to sell me an older model type?


I live in Canada so the heating is just as important as the cooling. In the winter, it can get in the -20s Celsius easy enough.


I think he is trying to sell me the AOU18RLXFW.


From what I can see, it doesn't operate at a temperature as low as the 15RLS2 and doesn't have as high a SEER rating.


Anyone in the know about this???

Need help fast as I'm getting them put in 5 days!

I believe your instincts to be correct. There is no 18000, low temp, high seer model available. Have him give you the model numbers.

get rid of them!
if they are not going to be straight with you from the outset, their is good chance the outcome wont be good either, you need to be able to trust the installer
