Yes tried both road and standby also it is now giving the neutral to the power transformer 240 v any ideas any help would be extremely grateful as the unit is going out tomorow

Originally got called to the unit for not working on standby after a while found the converter U/S got a new like for like part after fitting it found the neutral to be getting 240v seems extremely strange to me

What exactly do you mean by the neutral getting 240v?

The neutral off the 240volts to the voltage converter is getting 240 from somewhere any idea

is this one of the tesco 240 systems ie no engine comp

It has a road comp it's a very weird fault though I guess all the control circuit is 12vdc but if the power concerter won't fore all the fuses are good and the fact I get 240vac across earth and neutral

ok run on engine first this purely runs the low voltage circuit if the comp is running on engine that means the fused 50 amp reset is ok 50 amp on a 12 volt 25 amp on a 24v then because the signal is being sent to comp the signal is being lost to the fans find the red SOFT flexiable wire to the engine comp on the roof pod one pin of relay feeds comp one feeds fan either the relay is at fault which you have checked or lost signal you can pull board of condensor and look underneath to sea damage. on stby if still no fans if evap fans work this means low voltage side is good which means tranny rec and reset is good so you have a common fault ie signal to fans,,, fan fuses dont trust the resetable ones thay are a waste of time mainly ten amp versions are just to low,,, relay or board to check stby switch on power tranny drops 240 to 12 then to thermal reset 50 in your case then to rec pack converts 12 v ac to 12 v dc this then goes to the fuse box on b reminals which gives you low voltage circuit to check briefly whip of contactor box and just press contactor in if motor runs only on mains you fault is with lowvolts side ie dropper rec or reset when checking lowfaults keep meter pins on eart pins on unit not the chasis or dc will give you bad readings,,, also remember the new type trannys do single and three phase so check you wired colours correct

The issue I have is not getting 12v from tranny pressed contactor ok if I put a wire from the normal 12vdc terminal and put it to standby of board all runs present and correct would it be possible for you to send me a wiring diagram for this unit if you have one to hand

if tranny getting 240 volt supply it puts out 12volt fuse is before tranny high volt and before rec low volt but this wont cure your condensor fan fault remember low volt reset on roofpod for stby if you need wiring diagram call gah in morn

Put the old tranny on the bench and wired a extension lead to it with live and neutral no output wired neutral to live and live to neutral and got 18 volts out of it

Yea gozziee all done it was wired totally wrong so god knows who looked at it last repaired that and now it loosin 1kg of gas in 3 days got it back in had pressure in it all day and it's held any of you guys no the best way to test a unit with o rings because I know from previous work on xarios they don't always show a leak
