Frick workshop manual

Can anyone out there help me in sourcing a manual for the overhaul of a Frick TDSH193S? Have contacted Frick directly with no joy.

WE were given copy in late 90's but everything seems to be a secret due to "Frick policy".
Must be to protect Frick Factor reps !

:D So tempted to join you on manufacturer rant! but unfortunately there are quite a few companies who still live in the dark ages!

The future is opening up your products and getting your equipment to be selected and specified by persons other than in company reps. This is the way to mass market and brand recognition. Controls companies have realised that closed protocol gets you so far and when customers find out they are held by the balls from an OEM. It is bye bye for your product.

Glorified air compressors are not national secrets data bases and I dont think we should have to rely on wikileaks for a service manual.

Grasso do the opposite, unfortunately you can print 10 different type of manuals to find out not much
more than the last.

Just for the sake of clarification.
The likes of Satchwell, Siemans, Honeywell and others did not just suddenly decide to adopt a common language.
Which would allow control units to be interchangeable.
Bms systems etc, used to be manufacturer specific.
Until the hugely influential ASHRAE forced the manufacturers to adopt a common system.
With the threat that unless they did they would produce a bespoke system.
So control companies did not release anything they were forced to adopt a common protocol.

In fairness.
The beauty of this forum is just that!
Those that can help with info do and it is done in a controlled manner.
Where the sometimes quite critical info, reaches those that need it.

Someone gave me the manual when I asked so just passing it on. I am not sure why some of this info is so hard to get and from some manufacturers trying to get clearances, tolerances and dimensions out of them is like trying to get blood out of a stone. I have to agree with you about Grasso, lots of versions of the same compressor manual just a different model on the front.

Paul, i'm sure the Frick guys have to sign something as manual seems to be top secret!
We tried to get a course in USA & willing to pay, but no-one ever gets back to you.
Anyway once you have manual like all the others, you don't really need course, but would be nice to go on paid holiday to USA or anywhere else for that matter.
