Hi All,

I am trying to determine the proper insulation and thickness for wine cellar preparation in china. In the US we suggest R19 in walls and R30 in ceiling. Based on the which insulation material you use, R19 could require 6 inches if your insulation is only rated R3.5.

However, china doesn't seem to use Rvalue. I'm told they use thermal conductivity of W/(m*k) but am not sure. What formula or quick calculator can I use to identify the thickness of material for a metric based country that doesn't use Rvalues?
