ok..can you be more specific please? where does the heat came from and in "exchange" with what ? and if there's only a heat exchanger...why does the price is much higher than a regular unit ? and why not other companies do something like this ?

Hi cruzeiros
the liebert unit keeps precise temperature and humidity cooling only with electric battery for the heat, Usually these are in areas with very sensitive and expensive equipment, with a change in temperature the equipment usually throws a wobbly , if this equipment needs a liebert it is best to put in two units one for standby.
There are others that make close control units.

It depends on the product you have. Some units are designed to make use of the low outside air temperature as a free cooling medium. If the unit is not designed for free cooling, then the room temperature is dictating that the uinit run in cooling mode, not the outside air.

Regarding the comment about the heat exchanger, the only way you would get"snow" on the outdoor uniit in heating mode would be if it was a heat pump, Liebert-Hiross do not manufacture heat pumps.
