heat pipe exchanger in HVAC

I've heard heat pipe for a rather long time and seems it's used in spacecraft and recently I see some application in HVAC energy recovery. But it's not widely used, i expect its more use in the AC field. I've no experience about it. welcome your input. I want to know if it's a chance for HVACR industry:)

A heat pipe is just a closed pipe containing refrigerant and a wick. It's very common in electronics applications. R134a is a common refrigerant for heat pipes due to its low cost.

If you install it in Belgium on your roof for domestic heating or space heataing, then the state is paying some money for it.

I'v seen some in my village on the roof.

Depending on the application in HVACR systems a thermosyphon system may provide more benefits, however, a thermosyphon system will be dependent on heat sink location to work properly in air ducts.
