Hotpoint Refrigerator is NOT COLD, freezer is cold.

Hotpoint Refrigerator is not very cold, freezer is very cold; control dial set at 'max'. frost free refrig/freezer m/n HTS18GBSARWW. Defrosted freezer two weeks ago; back wall of freezer was 3 inches of ice. Set control dial to '5' per Hotpoint website. Refrig/freezer ran OK for about 2 weeks, and now refrig is not cold. What else can be incorrect? thanks, KarenK

if the freezer is self defrosting sounds like defrost not working

Thanks for you reply. Is there a way to confirm that it is the defroster unit? i.e. by measuring voltage or conductivity across it? thanks, Karen
