Hi all got called out to a daikin chiller EUWAN16KBZW--G with a A1 fault anit freeze fault , got the plumbers to pump in anti freeze in on Thursday, just been callout to chiller again now same fault A1 reset and ran ok , dose any one know how the unit tells it is low on anti freeze, was thinking it could be a sensor in the water loop some where.or setting may require changing.

Hmm,
Fairy sure that it doesn't mean that the system is low on glycol...

What it means is that either the leaving water temperature is too low or the flow switch has detected that there isn't enough flow.

We have had the water flow fault when pumps had stopped giving us FL fault , the book that came with unit say anit freeze fault for A1 do you think the water loop may be set to low, il have to check but thinks its set for around 12 deg , do you know if its sensor which picks up the anit freeze

The anti-freeze function will be limited by the leaving water temperature sensor.
Depending on what controller you have it might be value b2 as you scroll through the sensor readings.

The control the LED type with prg and sel one side and heat and cool with a digital display , has any one got a manual on how you operate this control as the book I've got is not to good . As may need to adjust the program's for this A1 fault or to check sensor readings

Thanks install monkey . Been callout again this morning for A1 fault again , going to pop back to night before they close and see what the water loop is at . Thinking it could be a sensor one of many . If water loop is below its set point could be the return water sensor , il keep you posted.

check theres no minimum run time
, check calibration of return ,flow sensors- also air in evap shell
,positive water pressure, also if any pumps are controlled off a bms or timer and the chiller operates on setpoint
also setpoint is within normal range

Hi all
pop back to site to day to check on the chiller system , as hadn't had a callout, it was playing on my mind , after changing setting yesterday , found system all running return water loop was at 14 deg with one compressor running . Looks like its all operationing correctly now , will check it over the week .
Thanks for the help every one .
