Hello

i have stumbled upen the term cross-charge expansion valve, could someone explain this to me?

In the bulb there is a refrigerant that is used to open and close the valves diaphragm
dependent on the amount of pressure inside it at the time.

The refrigerant in the bulb tends to be the same as the refrigerant inside the system.

If for reasons of control they put a different refrigerant in the bulb to that used inside
the system, they call this a cross charge.........

Refrigerants react to certain temps and pressures so if we want something to react
differently we put a different refrigerant in........ Cross charged.
