Daikin inverter 4mxs80E with 2 x 2,5KW innside units (4mxs80E2V3B, FTXS25G2V1B, FTXS25CVMB8)
Problem : always high amp draw (approx.18 amps), compressor the same frequency in forced mode as when 1 or 2 units on.
I cannot find out if it is the compressor or the PCB!
I already know that it's not under or overcharge.

What should be the current draw when in forced cooling mode ?

In heating mode the compressor works perfect, its frequency lowers (very silent, also the fan lowers in frequency)

Thanks for helping!

Compressor frequency depend on some inputs. If one of those inputs are wrong, than control is wrong.
I would start with checking thermistors which deal with cooling control.

Hi,
I checked all thermistors they are ok...

In the manual is written that you have to connect a minimum of 2 inside units.
Is this because of a minimum rpm output of the compressor in cooling mode?
If you turn on one unit then the cooling works so why a minimum of 2 units?

I tried to fake some sensors (heating up the discharge pipe thermistor) but nothing happens. Should lower the rpm I think.
Is 55hz already the minimum rpm of the compressor when connected to 2 inside units 2,5KW?

Sorry I am not that familiar with Daikin multi splits.

in cooling mode ur compressor current is always less,as is your maximum frequency18amp is way too high, is your reversing valve ok as u say it works ok in heating but runs flat out in cooling, and u say the gas charge is correct

Thanks for the replies.
Iam going to replace the compressor.
Hope this is the problem.
Will be back.
