Good Morning
Up till now ive used aspen 1 ltr peristaltic tank pump for cassette drain, (popular size 7/8kw) but sometimes cant mount lower than cassette, and sooo noisy.
Minipumps with flow rates technically enough don't work as reservoir is flooded by large amount water at one time. Dont really want to disconnect suppliers lift pump and instal a pick up tube into cassettes, would prefer an easy external pump.
What are others using please?

We sit the tank pump on top of the cassette where space allows and then use the internal lift pump to discharge into it.

Thank you frank, the problem we have though is the noise the aspen peristaltic tank pump makes, and wondering if others have found quieter solutions.

Always gone for whatever tank pump is around. Normally Aspen or Saurman.
Would avoid the peristalic ones if you can as you have a tube which can wear out. The other lift pumps which pump straight out seem reliable enough - perhaps a clean out each maintenance but that's all. Think peristalitic is high lift, other type is high flow.
As for noise, well I guess you might hear the odd sound when it fires up but that should only be every once in a while and if on top of the unit then not that noticable. Some might make a gurgle as they set up a syphon system when operating. Never had a problem with that though and guess there's a clever way to poke an anti-syphon doodah in.

Cheers,
Andy.

Try the high flow tank pump instead of the peristaltic, like Tayters says. We only use the tank peristaltic if its an unusually high discharge drain.
Pump House also do a good reliable tank pump

kooltech do kooltank-2ltr and climate ctr do jet 2ltr- both similar performance to vcma20's but about 40 quid

We use Saurman pumps all the time ( apart from the Mini Blanc by Aspen)
We have Never reported a noise issue with a Saurman tank pump above a cassette.
Go for a 2 ltr tank so it runs less often, insulate the tank area with foam and also sit in on a few sheets of foam. Nice and quiet :)
