Noisy Fridge Freezer

Hiya,

I have a Hotpoint Mistral fridge freezer that has starting making a very loud buzzing noise when the fridge door is shut, Can anyone give me any ideas as to what it is and if it is fixable, it's driving me nuts and as a single mum can't really afford expensive call outs or repairs.

Only when the door is shut? Is there a fan inside it.

Your evaporator fan is hitting something! Press in the door switch & listen for the buzzing. Try pulling the packages from the rear wall in case a piece of wrapping etc is poking in to the fan.
Usually, this is an early sign of defrost problems. Try completely defrosting it.
