****E!
not even daikin - rebadged- daikin were knockin em out to compete with b&q (air force)
it was buy 10 splits on a pallet for 3 grand- 2.5 or 3.5kw-equating to 300 quid a split

basic remote control, flimsy casing on indoor so when u try to click it into the back plate u break the tabs.
if u want cheap go for toshiba

daikin siesta used to be 25,35 inverters- no issues
then they went cheaper, non inverter and instead of 3c+e interconnect it went to power to indoor and 5 core interconnect and a 2 core sensor cable for defrosting the outdoor
the latest version didnt change much-
fitted about 50 of em and dreaded each install
only had 1 compressor fail that im aware of- unless 49 customers are still looking for me:D
as long as your customer is aware theyre not daikin- if youve installed other kit before then you'll be ok
think theyre only good for a 10tr run

He is on about the larger 7-12.5kw Siesta range not the small wall mounts. Plus Toshiba are now dearer than the std Daikin range so that doesn't work either these days..

lookin at the install manual- again its gonna be rebadged- that install instructions arent the typical daikin layout
therefore "siesta"- remains budget crap

Can be installed in both new and existing buildings.
name a manufacturer where u cant install in an existing building
Features
> Heat pump
> Automatically selects heating
or cooling mode
> 4 way air discharge
> Wired remote as standard
> Air filter
> Inverter technology
oooh- any manufacturer gives them too
as for the benefits-im blown away!!!
BeneFits
> Heating or cooling modes
> Efficiently achieves set temperature
> Adjustable direction for controllable
comfort
> Easy installation and maintenance
> Removal of dust particles to ensure
clean air
> Reduces the power consumption by up
to 30% compared to non inverter units

They wont work in cooling below +10degC.

I ended up replacing this with a Mitsi MSZ-GE. The Siesta ended up going in a loft (ventilated) serving a small bedroom :D (customer wanted nothing outside)

Cool Designs are doing a good offer on the Toshiba RAS Wall mount in 2.5, 3.5 and 5kw until October.

May just extend the temp sensor in to the compressor area so is always warm :-)))))

stick it in the cavity- u can extend the sensor line,
its just to initiate defrost of outdoor coil
- theyre not too bad, just the build quaility is crap. if u have to fit an external pump then i think its number 3 is ur permanant live as 2 is your compressor signal- they might of listened to my issues and rectified the problems

The window opening in the bedroom was tiny, also the Daikin went down 18degC on the remote which wasnt cold enough for the customer! They have the new one on 16degC full fan speed or off in winter!
