Have about 15 Daikin AC groups, all different models, years.

They all share a central non Daikin PCL controller. Each group has a Daikin control adapter. Basically the PCL is a time switch, with the Daikinn adapter boards accept an open or closed circuit to enable or disable the indoor units.

Looking to replace the non Diakin central Controller. Have looked at the Daikin intelligent Touch Controller, but it looks complex.

We want to centrally turn on/ off, but also and set temps and maybe some sort of computer control would be nice.

Daikin says only a qualified Daikig engineer can install the intelligent Touch Controller. Is this correct? Any experiences?

Any thoughts or recommendations?

Daikin are correct. Once installed the iTouch has to have an authorisation code entered to enable the unit.

Have you considered the RTD-RA? http://www.climatecontrolsandspares.co.uk/category-259/DAIRTD-RA.html
