Anyone already used a screw on board of a vessel?
We want to offer a compact screw of Bitzer.
Requirements 2 x 225 kW at 0°C/43°C, permanent inclination = +/- 15°, rol can be +/-30°, pitc: +/-7.5°

Hi Peter.
When I was on marine works, I dealt with J&E Hall mono screws, Howden, Frick and York screws.
But in fairness these were in the 20.000 ton Plus size Ships.
Maybe others can be more specific, but how the comp is supplied with oil would be my concern.
Good Luck.

Hi Peter
I have used J & H semi-hermetic compressor with attached oil separator for marine vessel successfully for 80 TR (280 kW) water chilling using seawater for condenser. Howden open screw compressors and York screw compressors are working on many Naval ships also where besides rolling & pitching, these compressors are subjected to underwater shocks.

I have seen Bitzer compressor given on one of the marine vessels supplied by others. However there were some problems with oil circuit - not sure what.
