Daikin controller question

I need info about a Daikin controller. The "centralized control" icon is permantly displayed and wont go away! The unit is a cassette (FHYCP 100 B7V1) stand alone...the only one in the room so not connected to another. Tried allsorts to re-configure it which is making me think it`s faulty although I`ve never come across one that acts this way. Any help would be great!:)

look at ure system carefully u should have a master controller what type of inviroment multisplit vrv i think

If you have 3 arrows pointing toward a central point in the top right hand area of the controller then this means that the unit is under central control. Look carefully at the indoor cassette (FHYCP - 4way cassette on R407C) and you will see a seperate PCB connected. This will be one of the KRP range of boards. Look at the KRP and to the right of the flashing green LED is a small blue circular dial. It will be set to somewhere other than 0 (12 o'clock position).

A range of different conditions can be set from this board, time clock switching, inhibit of the controller (to stop 'em FIDDLIN' :D ) etc.

You didn't say if the unit was working or not?

Hi there, this unit must have a KRP4A53 fitted to it, this KRP board is wired to the P1 P2 connections for the remote controller it is the only way to BMS control this Sky air unit. Unplug connection X18A on the indoor PCB which is the power supply to the KRP and hey presto unit will be back under local control. When the blue pot is set to 2 on the KRP it does not allow local on/off control at the remote. Hope this helps!

Or just set the blue dial to 0 (12 o'clock) and reset the power to the outdoor unit. This will stop the KRP having any effect on the system.

With the KRP set to 0 when the contact is made accross the B1 BC terminals the unit will still start and stop but it will now allow you to start/stop from the local remote.

Just an update on the fault, I changed the control panel and all was well...never seen that one before! Thanks all for your input. Every day is a school day!
