? better brands of inverter & non inverter

I am sure this question has been asked hundreds times, but, i am going to put a small split system in my bedroon, 9-12K. What is considered the better and most dependable of the inverter style brands, and the non-inverter style. I am finding that most 9K units are non-inverter. Just looking for opinions from those that have been there and done that.

inverters give better control,reduced running costs- more costly for repairs, all depends on your budget, your local distributor recommends- daikin,mitsi,panasonic are good gear, fujitsu.lg cheaper, gree,chigo crap

In a bedroom you may only need the smaller 2.5kW size (9k btu).

But the key thing to look for is noise level, if you might possibly run it while snoozing, and I think Mitsi had the quietest one last time I looked at this.

(Other thing is to make sure gravity drain.... those pumps are a no-no in a bedroom.)
