Hi I have a toshiba ac unit which keeps blowing the 5a slow blow inline fuse I have checked and swapped the pcb and transformer problem didnt go away today I noticed that the resistance between the fuse holder and the outdoor units casing was .6 ohm has anyone any ideas what componet could be causing this.
Thanks in advance
Rob
check fan motor windings and capacitor if one is fitted capaictors can go down and give variable readings
Generally speaking may be a pointer
also have you got a variable fan speed contoller slave borad any where not done much on tosh ac units but thouht it may just be helpful
good luck

I once had the same problem, a rat had crawled into the unit and started chewing the cables, he won't do it again.

t5a feeds the fan speed controller (1&3 phase)on the old rav's so i doubt thats changed. disconnect your fan and bell out. if it aint the controller its the fan
sorry meant earth fault loop
