View Full Version : toshiba ac blowing t5a fuse

Hi I have a toshiba ac unit which keeps blowing the 5a slow blow inline fuse I have checked and swapped the pcb and transformer problem didnt go away today I noticed that the resistance between the fuse holder and the outdoor units casing was .6 ohm has anyone any ideas what componet could be causing this.

check fan motor windings and capacitor if one is fitted capaictors can go down and give variable readings

Generally speaking may be a pointer

also have you got a variable fan speed contoller slave borad any where not done much on tosh ac units but thouht it may just be helpful

I once had the same problem, a rat had crawled into the unit and started chewing the cables, he won't do it again.:eek:

t5a feeds the fan speed controller (1&3 phase)on the old rav's so i doubt thats changed. disconnect your fan and bell out. if it aint the controller its the fan

sorry meant earth fault loop
