Some of this is a bit basic and I can see your dillema.
Where there is little or none electrical info.

Hi Magoo,

The grass screw compressor documation shows calibration procudure for the position transmitter - they are as finiky as hell. The new item is a retrofit, and it's finiky too..

Hi Grizzly and HVACR. thanks for replies and information. Compressor is a close coupled G3 approx. 12 years old. Twin compressor set up. AB/ PLC control.
