Hi everybody, this is my first post. :D

I'm looking at having a split wall mounted system installed in my home. There are quite a few brands out there - Panasonic, Toshiba, Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, Daikin, Hitachi etc.

Out of that list and in the experience of those who work in the trade, which brand do you find you are fixing more often / which do you class as less reliable vs. what you would consider to be the best or most reliable?

Cheers in advance.

:)

PS - I'm looking for an installer for the above, once I get it, 10 mins from junction 23 of M25, so if anybody fancies it, feel free to message me or post up here :)

I would say Nocria is the best decision : http://tempex.bg/en/articles.php?page_id=1&type=Ceiling-wall%20type&brand=Fuji%20Electric&inv=1 , as is the E15NKE : tempex.bg/en/tables.php?brand=Panasonic&type=Wall%20type&model=CS-E15NKE or Toshiba Daisekai 5. You want go wrong with any of them...

Hmmm,

Those of you that been on here a while knows what I am about to say...

Sorry Buzz but you are looking at this the wrong way.
Start with finding a reputable and experienced company to fit it for you, then go with their recommendation as to what to fit. By all accounts, get a couple of quotes from different companies but look for experience and expertise not for the cheapest price.

All the brands you listed here will work and do a good job, however there are differences between them that might make one brand more suitable for a particular installation than another. Only experience in the design/selection of site specific systems will get you the best solution.

Not to mention that most modern units will work well as long as they are installed properly. There are more breakdowns in the first couple of years after commissioning due to poor installations than there are due to manufacturing faults from the factories.
Again, find yourself a trustworthy installer and follow their advice.

Also, if you get a professional company in to SUPPLY and install, then you will benefit from the Warranty.

You buying the kit and getting someone in to fit only leaves you at risk.

I would get a company to fit you a Daikin unit as they come with a 5 year warranty. Make sure the company has a D1 partner ship with Daikin

Ha. just make sure the fan motors aren't the metal ones and you'll be fine...

Not sure if it was some sort of subtle joke from the Fujitsu marketing team but can you see the hidden message in the name Nocria?

Nope.

Does the Judas Priest song 'Better by me, better than you' and subsequent court case in the mid eighties point you in the right direction?
