Greetings to all,

Kindly advise how to calculate the volume of chilled water to fill inside the closed circuit. Is it the same as internal volume of the pipe?

Well, yes...

+ The internal volume of all the equipment attached to it, like chillers/fan coils/expansion vessels and so on.

If you have an expansion/ make-up tank, make sure that it is also full with water.Keep an eye on the tank while charging the whole circuit with water.Air locking is a critical issue occurs when we charge the empty lines.Hence make sure you have air purging valves on the CHW lines or provide the appropriate points to remove the air from the system. If we charge the system with proper care, we can prevent the problems related to air locking.

Yes, that's right.

Lh.ahn84, you can apply automatic air purgers on the critical points.

There is a variety of prices of types. You can buy it in Portugal from 50...120 Euros. However the range of prices can be larger.

Sarco it's one of the brands.
