Hello,

Are there any books devoted to the Evaporator of a refrigeration sys?

I have a project 'Solar Powered Refrigeration, performance investigation and optimisation', so i have to select a system or part of it and see how well it works and improve it. I want to focus on the evaporator, i see it as a part which can be easily changed to show results, also i think the calculations to show how the heat trasfer rates are affected with a change in evaporator dimensions/material can be easily carried out.

Any advice on the subject or useful links or books will help me a lot,, i feel this subject is soo hard to improve,, i wish i would have just said i will come up with a completely new refrigerator,, i think it would have been easier.
Kindly reply with all your knowledge, thank you :)

No short answers to your question, comes down the effective surface area, temperature differentials and heat coefficient factors.

That has helped me, at least it has broken it down a bit more. Might have covered them before but will know to give them closer attention now. cheers
