I have a 300 ton McQuay WSC063 Chiller with an oiling problem. The oil pump went out on the chiller (lock rotor) so we replaced it with a new one. The new one is a McQuay replacement of a replacement oil pump. Meaning they discontinued the original one and replaced it with one that was replaced by the current one. . So the new pump is in and we fire it up and we draw really high amps (23+) and pressure (over 200psi). We adjust the pressure regulator all the way down till the chiller cuts off on low oil pressure and it's still over amping. We play with it with no luck and call out McQuay service. They come out and said we had a plugged oil filter. So one is ordered and then replaced. Better but no cigar. FLA on the oil pump motor is 17.4a and we're still drawing around 19a. Anyone out there have a clue? The local McQuay tech is at a loss, and is reaching out to the corporate techs for help. Any one who has run into this? Any info would be much appreciated. I'm in Las Vegas and a down Chiller in the summer is NOT good. Thanks in Advance, Mike
