Dear Friends
we are planning to carry out compressor (pc-83) maintenance .
Most of our compressor major overhauling is completed .
Compressor run hrs with -5000 we change oil.
I need to know compressor 10000 hrs and above what are maintains to be done.
Pls Advice.

Overhauling is preventive maintenance service. The standard overhaul interval does not refer a period in which the equipment operates without problems except centrifugal compressor. Compressor discharge temperature and oil pressure will tell you what mainly happening inside the reciprocating compressor .but it is very important to check the compressor periodically by analyzing the oil with proper lab test, compressor head temperature, barrel temperature……..etc. better, no need to consider the running hours to wait for major overhauling .running parameters will tell you the requirement of over hauling. All rotating parts are visually inspected for friction marks, and dimensions are measured.
