I work for a company that sells aftermarket refrigeration for automobiles. We had a part time person that would handle any design needs we had. He has moved on, so we need to find a person/company that can do small design jobs on an as needed basis.

I don't even know how to start looking. Every search I try ends up with companies aimed at designing way beyond what we need.

I would love to find a person that could handle the occasional project that would likely take 2-10 hours total. How do I find such a person??

If it matters, I am located in the NE USA.

Does the person have to be local to you or could the work
be done long distance using email and the web?

I imagine it could be done from anywhere; I think pictures and prints should suffice.

Anyone have ideas about how I can track down someone to take on these projects?

Nobody seems to be replying to this??

It is either because people who read it do not feel qualified
to respond or because they are not bothered.

What you are wanting sounds interesting so I'm surprised?

Maybe if you post a little more information about the specific work
you would like doing, there may be somebody who might be able to help.

I'd have a look at it my self but I would need more details and maybe examples.
