what are these accessories in split ac outdoor unit

hi
today i repaired an ac split unit
acc 24000 BTU
but i found 2 accessories in the outdoor unit between the discharge valve and condenser

i think the one in the left is filter
but im not sure
so
what are these accessories and their utility

Yes the one on the left looks like a filter and the right hand one is simply a collector for the condenser liquid discharge where it then goes through the two expansion capillaries.

normally a peice of enlarged pipe with 2 grooves around it indicates a strainer- bit of gauze- see the restriction inside

both contain filter screen

the filter in the right is for preventing the blockage of capillary tube
but what is the utility of left filter ??????
its for preventing the blockage of indoor unit ???


or prevent the blockage of capillary tube in reversed cycle (heating mode) heat pump ??????

seems you know the right answer .... when we have bidirectional refrigerant flow it is good to have capillary protection on both sides ....
