Hello everyone,

Has anyone ever come across this code before? The unit was working perfectly, then starting making a very slight buzzing sound, then the flashing light and it won't work.

Predictably just our of warranty.

Thanks,

Craig

Assuming that the unit is a Daikin then firstly try the fan in 'fan only' mode and all speeds to see if it works at all.

If not then disconnect the fan motor from the PCB and check to see if you have any voltage coming from the PCB (fuse, faulty PCB).

Then try and check the motor windings for faults.

Thanks Brian, I have terrible trouble finding aircon engineers in Northumberland, the fan mode does nothing, at any speed. It just sits there in silence.

Could this be as simple as the fan, what sort of costs could this be?

also check the capacitor- either 6 or 9 microfarad

Can't give any idea of cost because we still don't know the make or model. ;)

Oh sorry, forgot about that part! It's a daikin ftxs25d2vmw.

I've looked at the manual trouble shooting guide, does getting to the internal fan mean disassembling most of the unit?
